Controller Design for Cart Displacement

Control the overshoot, rise time, and settling time of a mechanical cart after it is displaced on its track and released. Several labs were conducted with modifications on the cart's structure, e.g. attaching rods at one end or creating connections with other carts using springs. MATLAB, Simulink, and root locus plots are used extensively.
