Buck Converter Feedback Topology Analysis

In this 2021 intern project, stability, transient, and efficiency tests are used to compare the functionality of two MPS DC/DC buck converters with varying feedback topologies. The MP2229 (Current Mode feedback) and the MP2329C (Constant On-Time feedback) are used for testing. While both the MP2229 and the MP2329C are able to provide high stability and efficiency at load currents greater than
1A, the MP2329C outperforms the MP2229 when output voltage transient response and over/undershoots are tested.
