Low Noise Amplifier

I design a multistage low noise amplifier by (1) building matching networks using available and operating gain and noise circles, (2) stabilizing the networks using series or shunt resistances with emitter degeneration, and (3) understanding the tradeoffs between gain and noise. I also become more familiar with the spectrum analyzer and how it is used with hot/cold noise sources to evaluate my circuit. Most importantly, I see that balancing the gain and noise of my circuit is an essential part of RF design.
